#05 Tim Sassone
Tim Sassone was new to the MSBL and the Loons in 2008. Tim is
one of 3 starting pitchers in the Loons rotation and is our only lefty. We
started Tim off slow, knowing he hadn’t pitched in 10 years. However we soon
realized that Tim was going to a factor in any game he pitched. Tim saved his
best outing for the championship game 3 when he had 11 strikeouts and 1 walk. In 2009 along with his pitching, Tim's bat was alive, including a 2 homerun day. We'd like to see more of that in 2010.
