#36 Dave Pitman
Dave was
to say the least, a real surprise to the Loons. Originally drafted as a catcher,
Dave saw very little time behind the plate. Dave’s multi purpose talent landed
him in the infield and outfield each week, filling in wherever we needed him.
Dave’s bat was an even bigger surprise. Without warning Dave carried us
throughout the earlier part of the season and for a time was the leagues BA
leader.Dave was sorely missed in the
playoffs due to his coaching commitments.In 2009 we saw more of Dave behind the plate and expect to see even more in 2010.
